BUSINESS BAROMETER
Please can you complete the new quarterly survey sent out at the beginning of May by post (or available electronically, thanks to Datasouth, by clicking here) so that we can gain a realistic picture of the current financial situation, which is especially important in view of the current “credit crunch” that is being widely discussed. The Last quarter figures in this region were quite pessimistic and it would be very useful to see if this was a post Christmas blip or a continuing trend. The closing date is 30th May 2008.
COMPANIES ACT - ONE YEAR DELAY
Department for Business Enterprise and Better Regulation (former DTI) has advised that the full implementation of the Companies Act 2006 is to be put back to 1 October 2009, though some provisions which have not already been scheduled to come into force by 1 October 2008 may still be brought into force on that date.
