Qingdao - Basic Facts
Qingdao is a large coastal city situated in Southern Shandong Province with a population of over 7 million.

Hosting one of China's major seaports, it has a handling capacity of over 104 million tons and is linked to the national railway network through Jinan (the province capital of Shandong). The international airport has over 56 domestic lines, 10 international lines and a passenger flow of 3 million.
Approximately 1600 foreign organisations are represented in Qingdao.
